PRP stands for platelet rich plasma, which is found in the blood. The plasma in our blood contains growth and healing platelets which promote healing and regeneration. But as we get older, so does our plasma. Therefore, our ability to heal and regenerate cells weakens. PRP therapy, or the Vampire FaceLift®, is a non-invasive treatment that works with treatment on your own blood in order to help invigorate your cells and promote the growth and healing inside you.
During a Vampire FaceLift®, blood is extracted from you (like in a blood test) and then medically enhanced in a centrifuge to produce and increase the cells that promote growth and healing. Then your revitalised blood is injected into your face, introducing the young and vibrant cells that stimulate healing and rejuvenation.
As a more complex, non-surgical facial aesthetic, PRP therapy involves months’ worth of treatment in order to slowly reverse the signs of ageing and repair your skin from the inside.
Because the Vampire FaceLift® involves the natural process of rejuvenating cells, it is an ongoing process of about 3 months. At Braintree Dental Studio in Essex, we advise that you have 3 treatments – one each month.
Many say that they feel that their skin is smoother and fresher immediately after the procedure, but this process is a natural solution, so it will take time for your body to naturally heal and regenerate.
This PRP therapy lasts for up to 6 to 12 months. After that, most patients will revisit the clinic to receive more treatment.

All of the side effects come from the injection. Side effects such as redness, swelling, and slight bruising may occur but will fade after a few days.
